Our game plan worked against Hearts – Sadiq Alhassan

Karela United FC frustrated Hearts of Oak’s bid for a first three points of the 2020/21 season in Accra on match day four.

A goalless draw with the Phobians saw the Anyinase based club go undefeated in four matches.

Midfielder Sadiq Alhassan believes Karela’s game plan to at least pick a point in Accra worked perfectly.

“We came with a game plan and that is to frustrate them that is by keeping the ball.

“We all know what is happening in the club right now and then we are all not coming to sit back and watch them take away the three maximum points.

“We came with a game plan and I think it worked perfectly well because to come to Accra to pick a point I think it is a plus to Karela FC so I think we did very well especially in the second half.

“We friend to protect our goal area and then keeping the ball and catching them on the break and I think it worked perfectly but it is unfortunate we could not put the ball in the net.” Sadiq Alhassan said in a post match.

Karela have played four matches with two victories and two draws without a defeat.

They are currently topping the table with 8 points and will next play King Faisal on match day five at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase.
