#GPLwk2: Hearts vs AshantiGold pushed back to Nov. 24

COVID-hit Hearts of Oak’s first home game of 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) has been pushed back by three days, the GFA has announced.

The Phobians – who have had to go on isolation due to a large number of positive cases in their camp – were to host AshantiGold at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, November 21.

“This measure is to ensure that members of Accra Hearts of Oak team who will return from isolation this weekend will get adequate time to prepare for the league game.

“In view of the development, the game will now be played on Tuesday, November 24,” read a publication on the GFA website.

Due to the COVID situation with Hearts, their league opener away to Aduana Stars was called off. No date has yet been set to clear the outstanding game.

The Hearts team is currently observing the isolation protocols in Dormaa.
