Liberty Professionals were held to a 1-1 draw at the Carl Reindorf Sports Stadium by Bechem United matchweek one of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
Goals from George Ansong and Steven Owusu gave the two sides one point each ahead of their second league games this weekend.
The Scientific Soccer lads started the game in strong fashion and broke the deadlock on the 20th minute through George Ansong with a brilliant header.
They held onto their lead till half time with the focus on keeping their lead at the back of their minds.
After the break, Bechem came back stronger in all departments of the encounter.
The away side won a penalty on the 54th minue and Steven Owusu perfectly slotted in well to give his side the much needed equalizer.
The intensity of the game did not improve with both sides threatening less in attack.
Liberty Professionals travel to Elmina to face Sharks in their matchday two fixture whilst Bechem United host WAFA at the Nana Gyabeour Park.
