AshantiGold coach Milovan Cirkovic is not pleased with his side’s 2-2 draw against Karela United in the opening game of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
The Miners made a strong comeback after conceding early in the game but failed to cement their lead and the Passioners levelled in the second half.
Diawisie Taylor’s opener was cancelled by Appiah McCarthy’s deflected free-kick and skipper Hans Kwofie headed home late on in the first half from Abdul Bashiru.
Samuel Ofori got the equalizer for Karela from a quick pass by Umar Basiru.
“I have had a very short time with the squad that’s why we couldn’t play to our best.
“We must learn more and more. I have to work hard with them till when I will be satisfied.
“For now, I am not with the squad tactically and technically,” Cirkovic told reporters.
AshantiGold will travel to Accra to face Hearts of Oak in their next Ghana Premier League fixture next weekend.
