Kotoko confirm Sulley Muniru capture

Asante Kotoko have signed free agent Sulley Ali Muniru on a two-year deal.

The 28-year-old midfielder completed his move to the Porcupines after a successful medical on transfer deadline.

Muniru is the younger brother of Ghana star Sulley Ali Muntari.

He ended his stay at Russian side FC Tambov after the 2019/20 season.

Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu has further strengthened his midfield ahead of the 2020/21 campaigns the club will embark on.

Muniru joins Emmanuel Keyekeh, Emmanuel Sarkodie and Latif Anabila as the four midfielders that have added depth to the already solid central areas of the club’s play.

He has also played CFR Cluj, FCSB, Tondela, Dinamo Minsk and Yeni Malatyaspor.

Kotoko are back in Kumasi after returning from a 20-day training camp in Koforidua to shape up for the 2020/21 season set to kick off on November 13.
