#FootyTransfers: Sam Adams returns to Aduana

Winger  Sam Adams has rejoined two-time Ghana Premier League champions Aduana Stars, less than a year after leaving the club.

The 29-year-old forced his way out of the club in December last year after long service to join rivals Asante Kotoko.

But he could not break into the Porcupine Warriors’ set-up in the 2019/20 season which got cancelled due to COVID-19.

Consequently, Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu deemed Adams surplus to requirement and as a result had his two-year contract terminated mutually after some 10 months.

Sam Adams has managed to get his way back to his former stomping grounds and has confirmed his return on the 2020/21 Ghana football season player registration deadline day via Facebook:

“I’m very happy to be back. Dormaa Ahenkro is my home, let’s make history together once again. Am most grateful to Dormahene and Dormaman,” he posted.

Sam Adams left Aduana Stars after a five-year stint. He played a pivotal role during the period and helped the side clinch the Ghana Premier League title for the second time after the 2016/17 season.
