Ghana midfielder, Afriyie Acquah has set a target of qualifying Yeni Malatyaspor to at least the Europa League at the end of the 2020/21 Turkish Super Lig campaign.
The 28-year-old joined Malatyaspor from Empoli last season when they had already qualified for Europe.
They, however, failed to make an impact and Acquah wants to avoid the fall this term.
“Our target this season is to qualify and play in the Europa League.
“Before I came to the club, they had already qualified for Europe but could not make an impact.
“The beginning of last season we did well domestically but the end did not go well.
“We want to avoid that this season so we finish well,” Acquah told Max FM.
Yeni Malatyaspor have not started on a good footing this season. They have garnered just 8 points out of a possible 18 in the Turkish Super Lig.
