Berekum Chelsea confirm Hesse-Odamtten as head coach

One-time Ghana Premier League winners Berekum Chelsea have announced Michael Hesse-Odamtten as the club’s new head coach.

The Bibires scooped big boys Hearts of Oak who had lined up their ex-star player for an assistant coach role.

For several months, Hesse-Odamtten had looked all set to become assistant to Edward Odoom at Hearts but delays by the hierarchy of the Phobians saw him slip through their hands.

Berekum Chelsea needed a new technical ahead after the post became vacant following decision of Congolese-Belgian coach Alain Landuet to discontinue with the club after the long COVID-19 break.

Michael Hesse-Odamtten, 54, is an ex-Ghana international defender who once played for clubs like Hearts of Oak, Africa Sports (Ivory Coast) and Dragons (Benin) indie 1970s and ’80s.

He holds a Caf License A coaching certificate and previously worked with the popular Aspire Academy.
