Asmah, whose last Ghanaian club was B.A United back in 2015, would be able to join his teammates to a three-week training camp in Koforidua on Sunday.
He is a New Zealand 2015 Ghana U-20 Fifa World Cup squad member,
After that tournament, Asmah secured his first move to Europe by signing a four-year deal with Italian Serie A side Atalanta. He began with the club’s youth side but injuries derailed his progression into the senior side of the Bergamo-based club.
Asmah enjoyed loan opportunities at US Avellino 1912 and US Salernitana 1919.
In the 2018/19 season, he also played on loan for FC Senica in the Slovakian topflight where he racked up 25 appearances, scored three goals, and provided five assists.
Asante Kotoko are now well-stocked in their left-back position with Patrick Asmah faced with battling for the first-choice spot with Ithe equally talented moro Ibrahim and Patrick Yeboah.
However, there are rumours Yeboah could be leaving for trials with an unnamed Serbian club.
