Kotoko drop interest in Samuel Appiah as Medeama block move for Richard Boadu

Medeama SC Chief Executive Officer James Essilfie has been speaking on the constant reports in the media concerning Richard Boadu and Samuel Appiah.

The two key members of the Yellow and Mauves side still remain at the club despite several reports linking them to Kotoko.

Essilfie, speaking to Wontumi FM, says the two players are part of the their pre-season which starts October 5.

“Yes, Kotoko wanted Richard Boadu this transfer window.

“We rejected their request because it would be unfair to sell Boadu and Justice Blay to them at the same time.”

On Appiah, Essilfie continued: “Kotoko’s interest in him is also off because they are not getting the other player [Boadu] they wanted.

“So we have our three players in tact ahead of the start of pre-season next Monday.”

The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League begins November 13.
