It’s time Hearts won a major silverware – Sowah declares

Hearts of Oak defender, Robert Addo Sowah cannot wait to lay hands on a silverware with the Phobians.

The centre-back was pivotal for the Phobians in the recently cancelled season where he partners ex-WAFA man Mohammed Alhassan.

Speaking to Hearts media, Addo Sowah admits that it is time the 20-time Ghana Premier League champions won something significant, having been on a domestic drought for the past decade.

“It’s time we as players won something of great magnitude for the club especially on the local scene and we are determined to do just that in the coming season.

“Our performance in the last couple of seasons have truly deserved silverware. It is unfortunate that we don’t have that to show on the table,” he stated.

Hearts of Oak’s quest to reclaim their lost glory was met with a couple of signings in the last months.

Robert Addo Sowah believes the Caf Champions League and the Confederation winners will soon rise.

“I am confident that we will rise up to the challenge when the new season starts and looking at the quality at our disposal, this can only be the norm,” he declared.
