Kuti targets 15 goals for Hearts in first round next season

New Hearts of Oak striker Danjuma Ademola Kuti has his sights set on netting fifteen goals for the club when the Ghana Premier League kicks off next season.

The Nigerian forward penned a two-year deal in May but has not featured for the Phobians due to the halt of football after Covid-19 struck in Ghana.

A new striker is expected to replicate the trust shown by Hearts directors in signing him and that even comes with a lot of pressure when the talk is about a foreign player.

For Kuti, he hopes to make a new record in the GPL by scoring 15 goals in the first round of the season.

That’s a goal per game striker for the Rainbow side.

“If my coach at Hearts of Oak gives me minutes in the first round of the 2020/21 season, I promise to score 15 goals. I promise to do that in the league,” he told SWG.

“I want that record in Ghana. In Dubai, I played 15 matches and I scored 12 goals for Fujairah so I believe I can do the same in the Ghana league.”

Kuti will compete for minutes with Abednego Tetteh, Kofi Kordzie, Daniel Afriyie and Ivorian attacker Eric Dizan.
