Ghana duo, Kennedy Boateng and Reuben Acquah have gained qualification to the Austrian topflight with SV Ried.
Ried achieved automatic promotion after emerging champions of the second-tier – the 2019/20 HPYBET-2.Liga – by the slightest of margins – superior goal advantage.
Pegged on 64 points after 30 matches, SV Ried finished tops ahead of Austria Klagenfurt with a goal difference of 34, five more than their title rivals.
SV Ried hammered Floridsdorfer AC 9-0 in the final match of the season on Friday to emerge champions and book their slot for the 2020/21 Austrian Bundesliga campaign.
Boateng, the former WAFA SC defender started the game while compatriot Acquah did not make the match-day squad.
