Ghanaian duo, Kennedy Boateng and Reuben Acquah saw full time action as SV Ried defeated SV Horn 3-2 away to go top of the Austrian second tier league on Friday.
Boateng was in the heart of defence with Acquah who saw yellow card on the 54th minute, roped into midfield.
The visitors took the lead from Stefan Nutz on the 27th minute having been teed off by Jefte Betancor.
The battle wore on until the 33rd minute when Andree Neumayer fetched SV Horn’s equalizer.
Back from the break Andree Neumayer located Michael Cheukoua who slotted home SV Horn’s 2-1 lead on the 69th minute.
SV Ried reorganized themselves and came back with two quick goals from Bernd Gschweidl on the 71st and Stefan Nutz on the 74th minute to finish the game at 3-2 for the visitors.
The win sends SV Ried top of the Austrian Erste Liga with 61 points,same as SK Klagenfurt but with a single goal separating the two sides.
