VIDEO: Koomson brace helps Brann beat Sandefjord

Gilbert Koomson found the net twice to give SK Brann a return to winning ways in the Norwegian Eliteserien.

SK Brann needed to bounce back strongly after falling to a 5-0 defeat to league leaders Bodø/Glimt last week.

And Koomson was just in the mood as they beat Sandefjord 3-1 at Brann Stadion on Sunday.

The 26-year-old Ghanaian attacker registered a quick-fire brace after Robert Thomas Taylor had given his side a 7th-minute lead.

Koomson scored back-to-back in the 9th and 12th minutes.

Sandefjord converted a penalty through Marcos Celorrio in the 22nd minute.

The scoreline stayed 3-1 till the final whistle.

Gilbert Koomson’s brace on Sunday sees him increase his goal tally to five so far in the 2020 Norwegian topflight league. The leading scorer, Kasper Junker of Bodø/Glimt, is on 8 goals.

SK Brann are currently third on the 16-team log with 13 points after 7 matches. They travel to face Odd in their next game on Wednesday, July 15.
