Experienced football administrator, George Amoakoh is officially back for a second spell at Ghana Premier League side King Faisal FC as Executive Chairman, the club announced Wednesday.
Just like in 2003 when he rolled over from city rivals Asante Kotoko, Mr. Amoakoh is back at Faisal this time again after a bitter-end comeback with the Porcupine Warriors – he was relieved of his post as CEO of Kotoko last month.
His return to King Faisal has been envisaged since the beginning of July when club owner Alhaji Karim Gruzah disclosed they were in advanced talks.
And the club took to their official social media handles to announce the deal after reaching an agreement:
✍️ We welcome our new Executive Chairman George Amoako to the club. He brings go to bear a rich vein of experience in the game.
We are grateful for having him in our fold. It is our prayer that our union will yield many successes in the years that follow.

Amoakoh, on his part, told Oyerepa FM: “It is true we have concluded talks and I will assume the role of Executive Chairman of the club, running the day-to-day activities with Alhaji Gruzah remaining the bankroller, founder and President of King Faisal.
George Amoakoh, aside assuming the position as Executive Chairman of King Faisal, is also a Premier League representative on the GFA Executive Council. He is also Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee.
