Dr Kwame Kyei has finally handed over a report of his stewardship as Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko to the club’s sole owner, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Manhyia Palace has annnounced.
The oil entrepreneur was appointed in November 2016 to run the club for three years, a mandate which ended about five months ago.
Footy-Ghana.com can reveal that after his three-year mandate ended the previous month, Dr Kyei was, in December 2019, given four months to submit an account of his stewardship.
And in a press statement signed and issued by the Chief of Staff of Asantehene, Kofi Badu on Wednesday April 22, the office of the owner of Kotoko has confirmed receipt of the report.
Portions read: “The Executive Chairman of the club, Dr Kwame Kyei, has submitted the report of his administration for the three years of his mandate.
“The report is being evaluated for the consideration of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, and an announcement will be made in due course on the future.”
Meanwhile, the Manhyia Palace has set up a Committee to investigate the Emmanuel Clottey and Kwame Bonsu transfer saga as well as Kotoko’s failure to meet the Club Licensing requirements for the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League. The Committee gas been given four weeks to submit its report.
