#FootyTransfers: Emmanuel Sarkodie returns to Kotoko on 3-year deal

Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko have re-signed former youth team player Emmanuel Sarkodie.

The 1996-born midfielder joins the Porcupines on a three-year deal from Nkoranza Warriors.

Sarkodie follows ex-teammate and striker Kwame Poku in joining Kotoko from the Division One League side.

“I was born here in Kumasi and I grew up wishing to play for Kotoko,” he told the Kotoko Express App.

“Coming here is like coming home to where it all started for me as a footballer as I was once a member of the Kotoko Youth Team.

“I am here to do my best to help the club achieve its goals. I believe in hard work and know that I would not have come this far if I did not push myself. It is the same thing I am going to do here. Discipline and commitment to duty are my hallmarks and I would always give my hundred percent for the shirt and the fans,” Sarkodie added.

Emmanuel Sarkodie, who has been captain of Nkoranza Warriors over the last three years, has been in superb form in the 2019/20 Division One League. His numerous man-of-the-match award-winning performances attracted interests from a number of Premier League clubs including Hearts of Oak, Aduana Stars and Legon Cities.
