#FootyTransfers: King Faisal announce Andy Oduro signing

King Faisal FC have announced augmenting their squad with the signing of Andy Oduro Acheampong.

The 20-year-old versatile midfielder completed the deal with the struggling Ghana Premier League side Wednesday.

But the duration of the contract was not disclosed.

Acheampong joins the Kumasi-based club on a free transfer after mutually parting ways with Division One side Star Madrid after the Normalization Special competition last year.

A club statement read:

”’We can today [Wednesday] confirm the signing of Andy Oduro Acheampong. Oduro is an extremely versatile player and previous clubs include Star Madrid, Rainbow FC and Corners babies.

”He is a gamechanger on his day.”

He becomes the second player to sign for the Kumasi-based side in the second transfer window after former Hearts Of Oak goalkeeper Samuel Akurugu – who was announced by the club on Monday.

Andy Oduro Acheampong will be hoping to help lift King Faisal from their precarious position on the league log when the season resumes.

They find themselves bottom of the 18-club league table with 6 points from 15 matches.
