2019/20 GPL: Faisal fail to win again in 0-0 draw with Medeama
The Kumasi side have been unable to record victory for a 13th straight time.
King Faisal, once again, failed to pick full points as they played to a pulsating goalless draw with Medeama SC Saturday afternoon.
Going into match-day 13 encounter of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League, Faisal eyed the scalp of the league leader for their first-ever win this campaign.
They nearly netted at the early stage of the game but for the brilliance of Medeama goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi.
Emmanuel Maidawa and youngster Kwame Peprah combined beautifully but the resulting kick was saved by Ofori.
Few minutes later, Peprah was presented with another opportunity but his shot hit the goalposts to the dismay of the fans at the Ohene Ameyaw Park – Faisal’s adopted home grounds after the closure of Baba Yara Stadium.
The Yellow and Mauves upped their game in the second half. They dominated the early exchanges but failed to score with Prince Opoku Agyemang the worst culprit.
Both sides tried to find the back of the net, but could not hit the target on countless occasions.
