Kotoko fans deserve better in Kumasi – Konadu

Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu wants better performance from his charges in their subsequent Ghana Premier League games.

The Porcupines were lacklustre in a 0-0 draw against Ashantigold on matchday 10. The stalemate is  Kotoko’s third at home this season and out of six games in Kumasi, they only recorded wins against Eleven Wonders and Ebusua Dwarfs.

“I’m not a happy person after this game because I was not pleased with our performance. We had injuries and it was a problem for us. Whoever gets the nod must prove himself but today we were poor,” the gaffer told reporters at the post-match conference of the game.

“Our fans deserve better. When they return after the ban, we can not play in such a manner when they are here. They have not been with us in our last three games.”

Yes, their support might have played in our recent results here [Kumasi] because they are our spirit. But we have to improve,” Konadu concluded.

Kotoko will be guests to Aduana Stars for their next league game and return to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on matchday 12.
