Benjamin Bernard Boateng stole the show as he bagged a home hat-trick for Elmina Sharks against Berekum Chelsea on match-day nine of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.
Coach Yaw Acheampong’s men beat the Bibires 3-1 at Nduom Stadium on Sunday.
Benji Boateng struck as early as the third minute with a sweet left-foot volley but Kofi Owusu pegged the visitors back on level terms after 20 minutes.
He made it 2-1 on the 58th minute and then sealed his hat-trick on the 66th. 3-1.
The victory, a rare one at home for Elmina Sharks this season, takes them to 11 points and 10th position while Berekum Chelsea fall from the summit to 5th place but tie same points – 17 – as the four teams above them.
