Ghana captain Andre Ayew scored his 10th goal of the 2019/20 English Championship to earn Swansea City a 2-1 comeback victory at home to Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
The win sees the Swans climb back into the play-off places – fifth with 45 points from 28 games.
After 16 minutes, Swansea fell behind to a Nathan Byrne strike but new boy Ryan Brewster, on loan from Liverpool netted his first goal for the side just three minutes later to level proceedings.
The entertaining encounter at the Liberty Stadium was settled in the 67th minute with Ayew backheeling a Bersant Celina pinpoint cross from close range.
The goal – Ayew’s 12th this season overall – ensured Swansea stretched their latest unbeaten run in the league to four matches.
