AshGold add more firepower with Nat Asamoah signing

AshantiGold have added to their attacking options by signing striker Nathaniel Asamoah in a free agent deal.

The Miners have been firing from all angles, winning all of their three matches played so far in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

Attackers Shafiu Mumuni, Amos Addai, Mark Agyekum and Emmanuel Owusu have taken turns to score but the three-time league winners have shown they are just not content with that in their quest to become champions once more by snapping up the 29-year-old who recently returned home after a stint with Armenian side FC Banats.

Asamoah signed a two-year deal with the Miners on the 2019/20 season first transfer window deadline day – January 13.

The experienced forward, who can play as the arrowhead or from either wing, previously featured for Wa All Stars, Asante Kotoko, Red Star Belgrade, Medeama, Raja Casablanca and Aduana Stars.

Nathaniel Asamoah will officially join his new teammates in training on Thursday – after they return from their 2019/20 Ghana Premier League match-day four trip to Legon Cities in Accra.
