The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced a detailed calendar for the 2019/20 season ahead of the release of fixtures for the respective domestic competitions later this week.
The entire season will see five competitions – the Ghana Premier League (GPL), Division One League (DOL), Women’s Premier League (WPL), FA Cup (FAC) and Women’s FA Cup (WFAC) – played over a period of seven months (ie. 213 days/30 weeks and 3 days).
The 2019/20 football season begins with the Ghana Premier League on Friday, December 27, 2019 and is scheduled to end with the FA Cup final on Sunday, July 26, 2020.
Weekend fixtures are spread to be honoured from Fridays to Mondays while midweek games will be played between Tuesdays and Thursdays.
