The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has brought forward Ghana’s home game against South Africa in the opening round of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying.
The match will now be played on Thursday, November 14 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Initially, the Black Stars were to host Bafana Bafana on Friday the 15th before the continental football governing body altered the date.
Ghana are also scheduled to travel and play Sao Tome and Principe in their second game in Group C on Sunday, November 17. The group also includes Sudan.
Sao Tome earned a historic victory over Mauritius – winning 3-1 in the first leg of the preliminary stage and followed it up with a 2-1 victory in the second leg to complete a remarkable 5-2 overall aggregate win.
Two teams from Group C will qualify for the 2021 Afcon in Cameroon.
