Asante Kotoko will be facing cross-border neighbours FC San Pedro of Cote d’Ivoire in the playoffs to the group stage of the 2019/20 Caf Confederation Cup.
In a ceremony held in Cairo Wednesday, the Porcupine Warriors were drawn to host the first leg of the tricky tie scheduled for October 27 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The second leg comes off at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium the following Sunday, November 3, 2019.
Kotoko dropped to the Confederation Cup after failing to make the group stage of the Champions League while San Pedro thrashed Guinea side Santoba FC 3-0 at home to advance with same on aggregate to this stage.
FC San Pedro are coached by Tunisian Jani Tarek and also have a Ghanaian – midfielder Saaba Gariba – on their books.
