Hearts reward Manaf Umar with improved deal

Hearts of Oak have announced that Abdul Manaf Umar has signed an improved contract, following his starring role in the team last term.

It was the attacking midfielder’s debut campaign at the senior level, having been promoted from one of the club’s youth ranks – Auroras – before the start of the Normalization Special Cup competition.

And Umar, who only signed his first professional contract with the side in January 2019, seized the opportunity with some consistent impressive displays until the Phobians got eliminated at the semifinals and quarterfinals stage of both the Tier-0ne and Tier-Two competitions respectively.

Hearts of Oak, however, failed to give any details on the improved contract for the 25-year-old – not even the expiration of the new deal.

Hearts of Oak are scheduled to start pre-season from July 29.
