Ghana attacker Nana Opoku Ampomah has completed his much-envisaged switch to German Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf.
The left-sided winger, who can play anywhere in front, signed a three-year contract until end of June 2022.
Announcing their second Ghanaian signing this summer [after Bernard Tekpetey] Thursday morning, Fortuna said payment terms with Belgian outfit Waasland-Beveren remain under wraps.
Nana Ampomah completed 30 games in the Belgian Pro League in the past season. He scored eight goals and assisted seven more.
“My feeling was great going through the stadium. There is no doubt [Fortuna] Düsseldorf is a big club.
“I will describe my playing style as a dribbling type with speed but action speaks louder than words so we will see on the field.
“I am very happy to be able to play for this club now, and will give everything we can to achieve our goals,” the 23-year-old stated in his first interview as a Fortuna player.
Fortunas’s sports director, Lutz pfannenstiel also said: “Nana Ampomah is fast, two-sided and a player for the offensive field. We have watched him several times and are convinced that after his strong last season in the Belgian Jupiler League, he will leave a lasting impression even in the Bundesliga.”
