REVEALED: Danso to undergo Legia Warsaw medical

The striker looks to be moving without kicking a ball for Etoile

Polish giants Legia Warsaw are set to sign forward Richard Danso from Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel, Footy-Ghana.com understands.

According to our sources, financial talks between the two clubs have been sealed with the 18-year-old due to arrive in the European nation later on Monday.

The skillful striker, who can also be deployed on the wings, is expected to undergo a mandatory medical and sign to a four-year contract once he passes the test.

Danso, the 2017 Fifa U-17 World Cup star is one of Ghana’s most talented prospects and had only joined Etoile du Sahel in January 2019 but an administrative error on the part of the club saw Fifa refuse to release his International Transfer Certificate.

The no-ITC development meant the player, signed on a free from WAFA SC, was unable to feature for the Tunisians in official games until the transfer was ratified in the summer transfer.

Footy-Ghana.com is informed that Legia Warsaw have been tracking Danso since the India U-17 World Cup and decided to move for him now after missing their 14th league title at the end of the 2018/19 Ekstraklasa. They finished second behind Piast Gliwice.
