Kadiri Mohammed joining Dynamo Kiev?

Dynamo Kiev has emerged as a potential summer destination for Ghana defender Kadiri Mohammed.

A couple of reports in the Ukrainian media Saturday even claimed a deal had been struck with details kept under wraps until official announcement.

The 23-year-old centre-back, who also fits in as holding midfielder, spent the just ended season on loan at Russian topflight side Arsenal Tula. He played 27 matches in all competitions, scoring 2 goals and making 4 assists.

Ironically, Kadiri, in an interview with Sport24 and published on the same day, had stated his desire to continue with Tula and not return to his club Austria Wien.

Stay in Tula for the next season? “One hundred percent, yes. I do not want to leave,” Kadiri said, adding “I am happy in Russia, much more than in Austria. Everything has changed. Do not like only frost! But there are no traffic jams.”

Dynamo Kiev finished second at the end of the 2018/19 Ukrainian Championship. They will feature in the playoffs of next season’s Uefa Champions League.
