Official: Kotoko trio make Black Stars squad for Kenya clash

Three players from 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup campaigners Asante Kotoko have earned call-ups to Ghana’s squad for their final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with Kenya.

Black Stars head coach Kwasi Appiah released his 24-man squad Sunday night with goalkeeper Felix Annan, right-back and captain Amos Frimpong as well as midfielder Kwame Bonsu named to report to camp which opens in Accra March 18.

The trio have key members of Kotoko’s relative success story in the ongoing Confederation Cup. They all featured in Sunday’s 1-1 home draw with Al-Hilal.

For Annan, it’s a return to the Black Stars set-up after two previous invites while Frimpong and Bonsu are first-timers.
