2019 AfconQ: Kenya name squad to face Ghana

Kenya have announced a 24-man provisional squad for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final qualifying match away to Ghana next month.

Coach Sébastien Migné’s Harambee Stars are scheduled to hit camp in Nairobi on March 17 ahead of the trip to Accra.

The Black Stars, who lost 1-0 when they met at Kasarani, welcome Kenya in what would determine the toppers of Group F at the refurbished Accra Sports Stadium on March 23.

The team features two debutants – David Sessay and Christopher Mbamba – who ply their trade in England and Sweden respectively.

Local heroes Duke Abuya (Kariobangi Sharks) and Faruk Shikalo (Bandari), have also gotten the coach’s nod.

Coach Migné further named an additional five reserve players as a precautionary measure, who may be called upon to replace any of the 24 players in camp if need be.
