Caf CC: ‘Coton Sport need determination in Kumasi’, says coach

Bertin Ebwelle, the head of coach of Coton Sport says his charges must show real determination in their bid to upstage Asante Kotoko in the second leg of their 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup playoff tie next weekend.

Les Cottonniers produced an abysmal performance, losing 3-2 at home to Asante Kotoko and now have a gloomy chance in the second leg trip to Kumasi.

But the 56-year-old trainer is not giving up at this stage and has urged his side to go for the kill in Kumasi.

“It was very difficult for us this [Sunday] afternoon but do not be discouraged, anything can happen.

“There is another round and you just have to believe it. There is not much time to prepare for the second leg. We have already had a week and a half to work on this first leg.

“It’s just a problem of assimilation and it causes a lot of problems for the team but only determination will allow us to reach the next stage and we will need solidarity,” he told Press-Sport.

The second leg will be played on January 20 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
