Caf CC: Etta hopeful tie with Kotoko can turn in Coton Sport favour

After a poor display at home to Asante Kotoko in the Caf Confederation Cup playoff on Sunday, Coton Sport de Garoua defender Bawak Etta insists they equally have the ability to turn the tie in their favour during the second leg in Ghana.

Les Cotonniers face an arduous hurdle in the second leg scheduled for Kumasi after losing 3-2 at Stade Militaire in Yaounde.

For Etta, scoring three in the return encounter is possible but needs hard-work.

“It was not easy for Asante Kotoko, which is a team to respect. We [couldn’t] defend the goals that we conceded this afternoon. Nothing is lost, we will continue to work and I believe that by the grace of God we will be able to come back.

“If Kotoko could score 3 goals here, we can also do the same at their home. It is true that it will be complicated but football reserves a lot of surprise. We only have to work to get a good result away,” the 24-year-old defender is quoted by Press-Sport.

Asante Kotoko will host Coton Sport on January 20, 2019 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The Porcupines will have to avoid a loss of not more than two goals and must also score.
