Cameroon vs Nigeria: Ref. Tafesse gets second AWCON 2018 game

Lidya Tafesse will referee the first semi-final match of the 2018 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Accra Tuesday afternoon.

In what will be her second game at the ongoing 11th Women’s Afcon, the experienced Ethiopian will direct affairs in the mouthwatering encounter between 2016 runners-up Cameroon and champions Nigeria.

Tafesse, after excelling in the tournament opener betwwen Ghana and Algeria on November 17, returns with the same set of assistants – Kenya’s Mary Njoroge and Queency Victorie from Mauritius.

The Cameroon-Nigeria fixture is scheduled for 15:30 GMT kickoff at the Accra Sports Stadium.

In related news, the second semi-final clash between South Africa and Mali at Cape Coast will have Tanzania’s Jonesia Rukyaa KABAKAMA as centre referee. She is to be assisted on the lines by Mona MAHMOUD ATALLAH (Egypt) and Adia Isseu CISSE (Senegal). The game kicks off at 18: 30 GMT.
