Patrick Razak: Hearts release winger after Horoya cash hit account

Winger Patrick Razak can now officially begin life with Horoya Athletique Club after the Guinean giants finally fulfilled their part of the transfer bargain to Hearts of Oak.

After agreeing in principle with Horoya a fortnight ago, Hearts CEO Mark Noonan insisted that “until I see money in my bank account, they are not getting an ITC and Patrick Razak is not getting transferred.”

The 23-year-old was allowed to travel to Guinea to complete a mandatory medical and personal terms of a two-year contract. He reverted to Hearts days later and trained at the club in wait for the deal to be finally completed.

Footy-Ghana.com can confirm that on Monday October 22, the Phobians received payment of the agreed six-figure transfer fee (in the region of $150,000) from the Guinean topflight side for the diminutive winger.

In the transfer agreement, Hearts also retain a “huge percentage” in any future transfer of Razak from Horoya.

Hearts of Oak officially sanctioned and announced the transfer of Razak to the Guinean side on Tuesday.

Patrick Razak ended his three-year stay with the Rainbow family with few months left on his contract.
