Afriyie Acquah will finalize a move to Serie A returnees Empoli after a medical on Friday, the midfielder’s agent has confirmed.
”It’s official: We’re happy to announce that @AcquahAfriyie20 has signed a season-long loan deal at @EmpoliCalcio subject to medicals later today,” a tweet by the player’s agency Arthur Legacy which was subsequently deleted read.
Acquah also took to his Instagram page to bid farewell to the club’s fans: “I thank all the Grenata fans for these wonderful 3 years lived together. Always Forza Torino”

The Ghana international’s current contract with Torino is due next summer but it is uncertain if he has agreed to an extension or will be running down the remaining months of the deal he signed in 2015.
Acquah, 26, was reported to be courted by several clubs including SPAL, Udinese, Chievo and English side West Bromwich Albion.
