Jordan Ayew completes Crystal Palace medical

Jordan Ayew has undergone a medical at Crystal Palace and is set to be confirmed as the club’s fourth signing ahead of the 2018/19 season.

The Ghana forward made his way to the Eagles’ central London offices in Soho with hopes that the deal will go through before the 5pm deadline.

Ayew has been determined for a move back to the Premier League from Championship side Swansea City, going to the extent of refusing to train with the South Wales side on Tuesday.

Swansea manager Graham Potter angrily reacted to Ayew’s antics, saying he does not feature in his plans.

But Ayew has now been granted his wish on the EPL transfer deadline day though both Swansea and Crystal Palace have settled on a lease after the Eagles failed to meet the permanent transfer fee demanded.

The Swans had hoped to sell the forward they bought from Aston Villa over a year ago for between £12m and £15m.

Crystal Palace are understood to have the option of an outright purchase in January.

Fulham initially expressed interest in signing the 26-year-old but saw their £7m offer rejected.

Jordan Ayew scored 7 goals in 36 Premier League games for Swansea last season.
