Swansea City have stated they have received no contact from Newcastle United about Ghana forward Andre Ayew.
The 28-year-old, who only made an £18m move back to the Liberty Stadium outfit in January but failed to help them avoid relegation, is reportedly the subject of interest from manager Rafa Benitez this summer as he looks to kick on at St James’ Park.
The Spaniard is keen to add to his attacking options ahead of the new campaign, with reports emerging this week that Ayew is on the club’s radar.
But WalesOnline claim no inquiry has been made by the North East club, adding there has been no real interest aside that of Turkish side Besiktas while dialogue remains open.
Andre Ayew is expected to at least go out on a season-long loan by the time the summer transfer window shuts.
He featured for Swansea in their pre-season friendly against Yeovil last week, coming on as a second-half substitute.
