DONE DEAL: AshGold pay Kotoko to re-sign Sadick Adams

Transfer-listed Sadick Adams has rejoined AshantiGold from Asante Kotoko at a fee on Friday, Footy-Ghana.com can confirm.

Though, Footy-Ghana.com is unable to confirm the figures involved, close sources tell us the Miners parted money in exchange for the services of the experienced striker.

It is understood that Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin decided to recommend the transfer listing of Sadick Adams chiefly because of a supposed politics within the playing body which was having a toll on Kotoko’s performance.

Adams is now returning to Obuasi where it all began for him as a teenager 11 years ago. He was at AshGold in 2017 and after shining at the U-17 World Cup same year, Spanish side Atletico Madrid. He went to enjoy many spells abroad alongside stints with Berekum Chelsea.

The 28-year-old was signed by the Porcupine Warriors from Berekum Chelsea at the end of May 2017. He went on to play nine league games and scored 5 times.

Sadick Adams capped his debut season with a heroic performance in the 2016/18 MTN FA Cup finals by hitting a hat-trick against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak.

He picked up an injury after Kotoko’s Caf Confederation Cup second leg game at Cara Brazzaville which kept him out until matchday 1 when he played his first and only game in the 2017/18 ZylofonCash Premier League –  a 3-1 loss to Karela United in Aiyinase.

Sadick Adams also gave a subtle hint at at the move Friday afternoon in a Facebook post:
