‘ZylofonCash Premier League deal good news’ – Hearts PRO

Accra Hearts of Oak spokesperson Kwame Opare Addo has welcomed the ZylofonCash sponsorship of the Ghana Premier League, saying it is great news for clubs.

It’s been three seasons the Ghana Premier League has had no headline financier since the withdrawal of First Capital Plus Bank.

But on Thursday, the Ghana Football Association  and Zylofon Media Group agreed a $10 million sponsorship deal for five years as headline sponsors of the top most national competition.

For Opare, it is good news for the clubs and Hearts are full of glee over the mouth-watering deal.

“This is good for the league because this sponsorship adds up to the preparations, in terms of revenue, we have been doing for the previous seasons. I think it’s good news for the Premier League and we are all happy for it,” he told Zylofon FM.

Per this announcement, the Ghana Premier League will from now be officially known as the ZylofonCash Premier League for the next five seasons.

The Championship resumes on May 23 after a two-week break. On the side of the Phobians, they face WAFA in Kumasi on matchday 13 in search of victory after drawing 0-0 at home against Liberty Professionals.
