Kotoko move camp to Mampong-Nsuta

Asante Kotoko have moved base from Kumasi to undertake not less than a week-long concentration camping exercise at Mampong-Nsuta in the Ashanti region, Footy-Ghana.com can confirm.

The Porcupine Warriors, who look to be at crossroads with their season’s ultimate target after terminating contracts and putting some high-profile players on transfer list last Friday, decided to move to a more secluded surroundings for Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin and his technical team to reshape the team before the resumption of the league.

In all, 24 players, three of which are goalkeepers, trained on Monday morning at the facilities of the University of Education, Winneba – Mampong Campus, Footy-Ghana.com can confirm.

Coach Fabin’s men are scheduled to hold two training sessions per day during their stay. The team’s stay could further be extended by a couple of days, we are informed.

Kotoko are thought to begin a team overhaul with the signing of new youngsters before the closure of the second transfer window of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League on May 29.

Asante Kotoko host Elmina Sharks when the Ghana Premier League resumes with matchday 13 on Wednesday May 23.
