But Sey,speaking to Nhyira FM, said the match official was brutally abused by Elmina Sharks fans and more dangerous calamities could have happened.
“The incident happened when we were on our way to the tunnel and it was a supporter who threw the stone to hit referee Liman’s forehead. They first hit him with a stone so that prevented us from entering our changing rooms after the first half.”
Sey believes something more bitter could have happened.
“It could have been a different story because some fans were also waiting for us at the gate of our dressing room. We were even lucky because what could have cropped up would have been worse, the referee concluded,”
On the same issue, Medeama have written to the GFA demanding the three points for the game.
