Ebusua Dwarfs forward Paul Abakah Nkrumah is staying positive after dislocating his ankle in Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to Asante Kotoko.
Abakah, who had come on in the second half, suffered the career threatening injury late in the game in an attempt to connect a long ball heading towards the Kotoko goal area.
The mood on the pitch after the saddening event was so disheartening for both teams and the fans as well.
But speaking to Oyerepa FM, Abakah stated he feels well for now.
“Thank God I’m doing well. I’m at Cape Coast now and will undergo an operation next week. It happened on my right leg but Wahab (Adams) didn’t tackle me. He only gave me a shove and I landed on my right foot.”
“The only thing I heard was a sound not knowing it was my leg after the slight push. It wasnt even intentional.”
We had a real scare at the BY on Wednesday. We extend our best wishes to @Ebusua_Dwarfs' Paul Abakah Nkrumah.

The former AshantiGold winger further showed gratitude to the Asante Kotoko players for their unflinching support after the incident.
“Thanks a lot to Jackson Owusu; he has really motivated me using his situation as an example, the likes of Felix Annan and the Kotoko medical team.”
“I even had a call from Amos Frimpong this morning and I’m really pleased with their show of sportsmanship,” he concluded.
The Crabs, lying 15th on the league log, will face Liberty Professionals for their matchday 7 encounter on Sunday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
