‘AshGold don’t survive at Dansoman’ – Liberty boss warns

Liberty boss, Reginald Asante Boateng feels his charges are well-placed to hand leaders AshantiGold their first defeat of the season Wednesday afternoon.

The Scientific Soccer lads return to their favourite Carl Reindorf Park on matchday 6 after recording a dominant 2-0 victory over Eleven Wonders in Obuasi – their first in four attempts – this 2017/18 Ghana Premier League.

It was the first for new coach Asante Boateng who believes must serve as a tonic for his side to surge up the league log.

“We are fully prepared for AshantiGold. We went to Obuasi and won [against Eleven Wonders]. We had the chance to watch them there against Kotoko so we know what to expect from them.

“The win brings so much confidence [to the team] and we aim to go ahead in that trend,” the Liberty coach stated.

Focusing on Wednesday’s clash, coach Asante Boateng noted:

“We’ve mounted a strategy to face them [AshGold] and aside that there is good motivation in camp.

“And on record, AshGold have never survived at Dansoman so I think there is going to be a win for Liberty.”

AshantiGold are unbeaten in the opening five games, They dropped their first points against Bechem United, a 1-1 draw on matchday four.
