‘Be fair to Hearts of Oak’ – Noonan tells media

New Accra Hearts of Oak CEO Mark David Noonan says he expects no favours but fairness from the media.

The American Marketing expert who took office March 1 is already worried by some reportage that have welcomed him in his first week.

Speaking at his unveiling at the World Trade Centre on Wednesday, Noonan pressed on the media to be factual in their coverage on issues relating to the Phobians.

”I have had a lot of experience in my career working and collaborating with media. I expect professionalism out of our organization on how we deal with you [media], I expect same expect that same respect from the media and all I ask for is you [the media] get the facts straight and that you’re fair,” he stated.

Noonan continued: ”If you guys want to hammer us [Hearts] because we are not doing something right, fine, as long as you got your facts straight and being fair and balanced.

”I have already seen a couple of headlines that have put words in my mouth that I didn’t say… “We don’t expect any favours, all we ask is fairness.”

Having worked with the United States Soccer Federation as Chief Marketing Officer and subsequently as Executive Vice President for Marketing and Fund Development for the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the past, Mark Noonan is expected to restore Hearts of Oak to its trophy-winning days and as well help develop the club into one of the most cherished brands in Ghana and beyond.
