2017 Ghana Super Cup: Aduana to battle Kotoko Jan. 28

Aduana Stars will face Asante Kotoko in the Ghana ‘Super Cup 2017’ on Sunday, January 28.

The Super Cup is played between Ghana Premier League champions and FA Cup prior to the start of a new season.

The Ghana Football Association confirmed the January 28 date in its published three-season calendar beginning the 2017/18 campaign.

The venue for the ‘Super Cup 2017’ is yet to be confirmed.

Aduana won the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League with points while Asante Kotoko defeated rivals Hearts of Oak to clinch last season’s MTN FA Cup.

The ‘Super Cup 2017’ comes a week before the GFA Gala competition which returns as the official curtain raiser for the 2017/18 season on February 3 and 4 at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The 2017/18 Ghana Premier League as well as the Division One have been tentatively fixed to start February 11, 2018 and expected to end on August 5, 2018.

Also, the 2018 MTN FA Cup final has also been scheduled to come off on the weekend of August 11-12. The preliminary round kicks off March 3.
