Edwin Gyimah completes Bidvest move

South African champions Bidvest Wits have announced signing Ghana international Edwin Gyimah.

The club however failed to reveal the duration of the contract.

Gyimah, formerly of SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates, joins with immediate effect in the January transfer window

“Edwin Gyimah has also signed with our club with effect from 1 January 2018,” the club stated in a series of transfer activities via Twitter.

The 26-year-old, who had a brief stint in Sweden, can play as a holding midfielder or as a defender.

Last November, Edwin Gyimah quit Helsingborgs IF after making 24 appearances for the Swedish second tier side. He had joined them in February 2017.

Bidvest Wits, who are title holders of the Absa Premiership, find themselves at the bottom of the league table at the halfway stage.
