Breaking: Division One player Luther Boateng commits suicide by hanging

Former Techiman Eleven Wonders and Bofoakwa Tano player, Luther Boateng has been found hanging in his bedroom.

Boateng is suspected to have taken his own life Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened around 1300GMT, according to Eric Boateng, the communication director of the player’s former club Eleven Wonders.

“I received a call from the police station that our former player has handed himself to death.

“We are all saddened by the news.

“Luther played for us but he left to join Bofoakwa Tano so as I am speaking to you now he is not our player but as a player who served us, we are aggrieved too,” the Eleven Wonders official told Footy-Ghana.com.

Details of his death is expected to be known in the coming days as the police is currently investigating the case.
